If I use Ethereal V0.10.5 on a WinXP machine and start a capture with both "Update list of packets in real time" and "Automatic scrolling in live capture" ticked, it works fine. I see the packets being displayed as they are captured.
 
If I try the same thing on a Win2K machine with Ethereal setup identically, the Information Field shows "Ready to load or capture" and shows "No packets" next to this.
 
The XP machine is running WinPcap 3.0 (final), whilst the 2K machine is running WinPcap 3.1 beta - is this where the problem lies?
