Hello,

 

I am looking for any information as to exactly what Ethereal is looking for in the DOCSIS Packets in order to recognize them correctly.  I currently am receiving the MAC Header and Ethernet Packet info but it seems to be unable to recognize them.  I have an example of the the packets which I am currently receiving below and have attached a sample capture as well.  Can anyone tell me what is missing or needs to be removed?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When I have all of the Protocols enabled under Enable Protocol these packets are showing up as LLC, with Info - I, N(R)=6, N(s)=8; DSAP ea Group, SSAP Banyan Vines Command.  When only the DOCSIS Protocols are enabled the packets show as Unknown, with Info - WTAP_ENCAP = 1.
