Is that file still in D:\tmp\etherXXXXa07251 (or whatever the file name
is)?
If so, what happens if you start Ethereal and then tell it to open that
file?

Incorrect, but it still works. That's not related to the problem you're
seeing. I've checked in a change that should make it use "\" on
Windows.

No, as I have no idea what's causing it, and haven't seen it myself. We
might have to get a copy of the file in order to figure out why zlib
thought it was a compressed file.
