Yes, if you're running on a UN*X - you can send it a SIGTERM with, for
example, the "kill" command or a "kill()" call.

I don't think there's a way to cause Tethereal to stop cleanly on
Windows other than typing ^C at it (or perhaps somehow closing the
console window in which it's running).
