YES.  YES.

The Conversation List!  I need to copy and past from those dialog boxes.

The only way I can access that data now, is to:

  1. Use IRFANVIEW to capture the screen.
  2. Crop out all but the text in the window.
  3. Print it to a printer.
  4. Put it on my Scanner, Scan it into Paper Port.
  5. Copy the image to MS – WORD – (This causes an OCR step.)
  6. Review the OCR for errors.
  7. Copy and paste from Word into Excel.

Then I can use the data for performance calculations.

Can’t we just have a “Write this to CSV” function?

Or Copy to the Clipboard in CSV?

Then I could past it into Excel.

Thanks,

David

Subject: [Ethereal-users] Wish list --- ability to copy contents

Now that the Ethereal has a nice user interface, it is time to have some bells and whistles. One feature which can make people's life a lot easier is the ability to copy contents from a packet. A lot of time I need to copy fields such as IP addresses, port numbers or other strings to be used in filters, or in other documents. Right now I have to write them down, or use the "match" option to filter on the field and then copy the string from the "filter" _expression_.

Thanks,
