when using Ethereal for sniffing OSI packets, I would like to replace the 20-byte NSAP addresses by hostnames, similar to what can be done with a "hosts" file for IP addresses.

How can I do this?

By taking the Ethereal source and adding to it a mechanism to read a file similar to a hosts file. There is currently no mechanism in Ethereal to do that.
