Try disabling RX protocol dissection by selecting "Analyze" --> "Enabled
protocols", and have a look at a capture.

Hi,
I recently started using the Ethereal (great program) and was wondering
about a large number of RX protocol packets that are displayed as [Malformed
Packet]. It seems any computer I put the program on generates these
packets. Is this protocol generated by the Ethereal program? Also, is
there a way to get the ip address from a MAC address. I'm running on a
Windows platform so I don't have RARP. It would be a great feature if the
program could tell us this on demand.

Thanks,
Brian Allen
