Title: RE: [Ethereal-users] SCCP/TCAP support
Philip,
In order to do so you need to get the proprietary format description and the agreement to use it in ethereal.
Once done, you can implement your protocol dissection routines in a packet-<proto_abbrev>.c file and add it in the Makefile.am and Makefile.nmake found in your ethereal sub-directory. I would recommend to use packet-dns.c as a model as there are specific issues when reassembling data splitted over different TCP segments.
Good luck.
Yann.

Subject: [Ethereal-users] SCCP/TCAP support
Hi,
Is there any way we can use ethereal to examine the SCCP/TCAP content of messages passed over TCP/IP between our platform and SS7 switch. The SCCP/TCAP data is wrapped in the switches proprietary format (basically a small header and trailer).
Thanks,
Philip Lee
