 I suggest recording a capture to disk with windump/tcpdump and analyse
 it later using ethereal, on another machine for example. Capturing the
 data doesn't cost a lot, but dissecting every packet might.

 This depends on what you want to measure, but you will certainly learn
 tons of things on your traffic.
