I have a "Makefile" in scratch/users/ukoul/Ethereal/glib-1.2.8. I changed permissions on this file (it wasnt executable) and ran "make" command. now this seems to build the GLIB. I will go on and do a
make install
and then go, do the same commands for GTK. Hope that will work now.
