I have recently been exploring the excellent statistics capabilities in 
ethereal and the corresponding -z in tethereal.

I have captured netbios/smb traffic using a snapshot length of 128. 

When I use: 
tethereal -r <file> -R "not frame" -z "smb,rtt"
on this file the program abruptly terminates with a Segmentation Fault.

When I go to Tools->Statistics... etc. to get the same information in 
ethereal a result window briefly flashes on the screen and then ethereal 
abruptly exists.

I have narrowed down the range of frames and now have a tiny 2 frame 
capture file with one netbios/smb request and the corresponding response 
that exhibits this abrupt exit behaviour.

If anyone could use this capture file to find the vulnerability in the 
decode (alas I'm a network engineer not a programmer) I'll send it in.
