Error:
The capture session could not be initiated (driver error: not enough
memory to allocate the kernel buffer)
That error text isn't generated by Ethereal, it's generated by WinPcap; if an attempt to open a device for capturing fails, Ethereal just reports the error that comes back from libpcap/WinPcap. 

You should ask the WinPcap developers:
