Yipes, I wasn't aware of that. I assumed that it would act the same 
way as Unix.

In that case, he could run tethereal constantly into a file, and use 
a Python/Perl script to catch the relevant parts of the file. That's 
not as easy as what he wanted, but it would have a similar result.
