After I install ethereal 0.9.8 and winpcap 2.3 on my platform window xp it
prompt up this message when I try to start capture. 

�The capture session couldn�t be intiated.(Error opening adapter. The
system couldn�t find the file specified.)

Please check that you have the proper interface specified.

Note that the driver Ethereal use for packet capture on window doesn�t
support capturing WAN/PPP interface in window 2000/xp/.net server.�

I don�t know if the ethereal and winPcap I download was right for my
operating system window xp made my SONY.  I also try download ethereal 9.14

and winpcap 3-01a and try to run after I stall it. It didn�t seem to work
as well such that it didn�t capture anything or display anything�.Like Guy
Harris say it  should be able to capture everything without restricted the
filter, but it didn�t work at all�I only saw the screen blank as it start
with�.I really need all the help I could get to get the ethereal run in my
pc so I could get my project done��I need any suggestion you might have for

me�.
