Hello,

We use an application called Clearcase. This application needs to attach to a BDC located outside our office. This process can take a huge amount of time. When trying to analyse packets using Ethereal we found several occurences like :

SAMR Connect4 request, \\BDC_Name

DCERPC Fault: call_id: 1 ctx_id: 0 status: nca_op_rng_error

 

LSA LookupSIDs2 request

DCERPC Fault: call_id: 4 ctx_id: 0 status: nca_op_rng_error

 

These faulty requests are then followed by request using Connect and LookUpSIDs2.

I really don't know what these Connect4 and LooupSIDs2 protocols are and how we can avoid having these faulty request. Could you please give me more details ?
