Ethereal doesn't itself recognize *any* network interfaces; it reports
the interfaces that WinPcap recognizes.

WinPcap 3.0 does not recognize any PPP interfaces, so if your connection
uses PPP-over-Ethernet (PPPoE), you won't be able to capture on Windows
using Ethereal or any *other* packet capture program that uses WinPcap.
