Ethereal-users: [Ethereal-users] No interface to capture on with Ethereal 0.9.13 on Windows 98 (

I installed Ethereal 0.9.13 with the installation script and noticed that I didn't get any devics listed in the Capture panel.

I was using WinPcap 2.3. The PC is running Windows 98 (build 6776622)

I still have some older versions of Ethereal installed (e.g. 0.9.11) on the PC and there I get two interfaces listed.

I tried with tethereal for Ethereal 0.9.13 :

C:\Program\Ethereal0913>tethereal -D
tethereal: There are no interfaces on which a capture can be done

and with Ethereal 0.9.11:

C:\Program\Ethereal>tethereal -D
DEC DC21143 PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter: DC21X4
PPP Adapter.: PPPMAC

Same problem after reboot of the PC.

I uninstalled WinPcap 2.3, rebooted, the installed WinPcap 3.0, rebooted 

Still same problem - works with Ethereal 0.9.11 but not Ethereal 0.9.13.

I also tried to install Ethereal 0.9.13 again and get the same problem.

If I specify a device then it is working:

C:\Program\Ethereal0913>tethereal -iDC21X4
Capturing on DC21X4

C:\Program\Ethereal0913>tethereal
tethereal: There are no interfaces on which a capture can be done

I don't have any debugger or similar on this PC.

Any ideas?
