Until a few days ago my ethereal was working fine on the winXP home version. Presently when I start ethereal it starts collecting data but receives no packets. I get no error message. I have removed and reloaded ethereal and loaded in the latest winpcap (3.0 beta) and receive the same problem. starts okay but collects no packets. I also tried running windump but get the following error.

The procedure entry point opterr could not be located in the dynamic link library wpcap.dll.

anyone have a thought on what may be set wrong??
