Thank you for the good Ethereal tool. I don’t know if this is the right e-mail address but I found a little defect:

 

According to 802.11g draft version 6.1 the ERP Information field has tag 42. See below:

 

7.3.2 Information elements

 

Insert in sub clause 7.3.2, two new information elements to Table 20 “Element IDs” and identify them as “ERP Information” with an element ID of “42” and “Extended supported rates” with an element ID of “50”.  Change the “Reserved Bits” appropriately. 

 

In the packet-ieee80211.c it is defined as:

#define TAG_ERP_INFO       0x2F

 

That should be changed to:

#define TAG_ERP_INFO       0x2A
