Hi

I'm using Ethereal 0.9.9 on Windows 2000 (GTK+1.3.0 Glib 1.3.2, NetSNMP 5.0.6).

I use a multi display setup (although this does not appear to be the cause of the problem - verified on another system)
 
ok. I start a capture in ethereal displayed on monitor 1, then bring up Internet Explorer on that screen on top of ethereal.

on monitor 2 I click on Outlook (might have to click on a couple of e-mails), but then suddenly on monitor 1 ethereal now has the focus and IE has gone to the background.

Also if I writing a mail on monitor 2 suddenly ethereal takes focus..

If
Update list of packets in real time is enabled
and
Automatic scrolling in live capture is disabled

it seems to happen all the time..
does not appear to be so bad if Automatic scrolling in live capture is enabled (but it still happens)

If I disable 'Update list of packets in real time' the problem goes away.

I have not seen this issue in previous versions of ethereal.

Any ideas ?
