I am attaching a file that contains a packet that will put ethereal or tethereal into an infinite loop. The loop happens ONLY if a display filter is used. Here are the commands I use to demonstrate the problem:

tethereal -n -r thisfile.pcap
(no problem)
tethereal -n -r thisfile.pcap "ip.addr ne 0.0.0.0"
(goes into a loop)

Hopefully this will help find the problem.

Thanks!

In personal conversations with technical people, I call myself a hacker. But
when I'm talking to journalists I just say "programmer" or something like that.
