Hello guys,
i am tring to write a client for icq, and the start is to undetstant its protocol(s) so i tried to use ethereal to sniff the traffic, but surprise, i was expecting ascii data, but there is a lot of binary data, hard to understand, well now, ethereal identified the aim protocol port (2098) but there is alos data from icq on port 5190 and is just tcp nothing else.

I searched on google about this aim protocol and it seems to be used by icq and aol messenger.

If someone could tell me where to find docs about this protocol would be great, or if somebody is doing the same thing i am tring to do.

Best regards.
