The DrWatson (drw*.log) log could give some more information about in what routine the crash occur.

Your problem could maybe be related to the number of colors (Start/Settings/Control panel) and/or screen resolution or the graphic drivers or similar.
In most cases the problem has been solved by upgrading with new drivers, I think.

GTK+ on Windows only works with more than 256 colors, e.g. High Color (16 bits).
Maybe you can try some different seetings and try to find a graphic driver for your monitor/video card that doesn't
result in this problem.
