Hi,

According to the webpage Ethereal supports ATM on Linux. Is Ethereal only 
supporting ATM LAN emulation (i.e ethernet simulated over ATM) or is it 
possible to use Ethereal to capture raw ATM-cells? 

I want to use Ethereal on a Linux PC to capture ATM-cells from a ForeRunner 
LE 155 ATM adapter. I am not going to run ethernet on top of ATM. I have 
installed the ATM adapter and a test with atmdump shows that it is working (I 
have to Linux PCs directly connected with a fiber). I think my problem is 
that the atm device does not show up when I write 'ifconfig -a'. How can I 
set up my ATM adapter so that it shows up when I use ifconfig? 

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask these questions. If it's 
not, please tell me where I should ask them.
