Is there a "config.log" file in the "wiretap" directory?  If so, I'd
need to see it; it may be that, somehow, the configure script in the
"wiretap" directory thought that zlib was OK, and built Wiretap to use
it, even though the top-level script didn't think it was OK and didn't
link with it.
