Title: Outbound traffic not collected when using

Hi All,

I saw a weird one today. A colleague has installed Ethereal 9.7 and WinPcap 3.0.4 on an NT 4 machine and everything works fine except when he uses capture filters. If he traces without a filter he can see all the traffic, and once collected, he can filter using a display filter. However when he enters any capture filter he only sees inbound traffic. It doesn't make any difference what the capture filter is (eg "ICMP" and "ip host w.x.y.z")  nor does it matter

I've seen a few similar symptoms in the list archives, but no one seems to have observed that everything's OK without a filter, so this is probably different problem. I've asked him to try WinDump but that won't be possible for a while. Do any of you have any suggestions as to what could be wrong?

Alistair
