I'd like to build a simple windoze app that has some
subset of Ethereal functionality and use it to acquire
and analyze packets instead of using the Etherreal
GUI.  Is there an api to the Ethereal application? Is
is possible to compile the source code into a Windows
.dll and then make calls to it from my app?

Please point me at some resources that will tell me
the best approach.
