The sub-menues will open up when you have something marked in a frame.
For example you could mark the "Time to live: 128" entry in an IP-packet and then try Display/Prepare/Selected and you will get a filter "ip.ttl == 128".

When you don't have anything marked the sub-menues should really be greyed out. However they are not shown at all with the GTK version that is currently used in the Windows version of Ethereal.

Hello,

I've only recently subscribed to this mailing list to I apologize if this question had poped up before.

I'm using Ethereal 0.9.5 on Windows 2000 SP3 (just installed today, but the problem also happened on SP2).
Everything works fine, except for the sub-menus which don't open. For instance I can open the menu Display,
but the sub-menus for Match and Prepare don't open.

Can anyone help ?
Thanks in advance.
