Hi
We get the latest IDE sigs downloaded every hour or so,  this one came down this morning.
I'll drop Sophos a mail, too.

Simon,

What version of Sophos are you using? Their website claims this trojan will
only be detected in their next release July 2002. Either your sysadmin has
installed a beta version or something weird is going on. I advise you talk
to Sophos. In my experience they're pretty good at sorting this sort of
thing out.

FYI I'm running the june release and have had no issues with Ethereal.

Subject:	[Ethereal-users] Ethereal uninstall.exe, Momma-B virus

Hi,
My virus scanner (Sophos) this morning informed me (and several
colleagues running Ethereal) that Ethereals UNINSTALL.EXE is infected
by the Momma-B trojan. Looking at the description of the virus, this is
99% sure a false positive, but I thought someone should know!

regards
Simon Coffey
