I am trying to run ethereal on a AIX 4.3.3 machine. I have tcpdump
working on the AIX 4.3.3 machine.
But I still do not get a Interface list. I can not Capture->Start
** I copied this from your web site cause it is identical to my problem
******************
Q 4.12: I have an XXX network card on my machine; it doesn't show up in the
list of interfaces in the "Interface:"
field in the dialog box popped up by "Capture->Start", and/or Ethereal
gives me an error if I try to capture on that
interface.

( I am running as root userid )
This is the error message I get.
The capture session could not be initiated ( recv_ack: bind error 0x1)
Please check to make sure you have sufficent permissions, and that you have
the proper interface or pipe specified.

If I run ethereal in office on my aix work station it works ok. But if I
try to run it down
in my lab on a NAT'd network it does not work. No matter how many
aix servers
I install ethereal on in my lab it does not work. They can all ping each
other no
problem. And I can run tcpdump on all these aix test servers also.

Any help would be appreciated!
