It's none of those.

It's the name Windows gives to the interface.

There is a drop-down list of interfaces for the "Interface" entry.  If
there are entries in that list, select an interface from that list.  If
there are no entries in that list, then, for whatever reason, WinPcap
isn't letting Ethereal open any of the interfaces on your system.
