All capture filers are saved in a file called "cfilters" in a directory
under your home directory called ".ethereal", and all display filters
are saved in a file in that directory called "dfilters".

On UNIX, if the HOME environment variable is set, Ethereal uses its
value as the pathname of your home directory, otherwise it gets it from
your password database entry.

On Windows, if the HOMEDRIVE and HOMEPATH environment variables are set,
Ethereal uses the concatenation of those as the pathname of your home
directory, otherwise it uses "C:". In a future release, this may
changes to use your user profile directory as your home directory.
