Title: Legal Question

I would be happy to give permission to use my code in exchange for someone from Nortel giving me some more details about the Wellfleet Compression Protocol.

But really,  the code is under GPL license, check it out at http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html.

These are my own opinions and are not legally binding.

Subject: [Ethereal-users] Legal Question
Importance: High

Hello,

I am a course developer with Nortel Networks in Raleigh, North Carolina.   Nortel Networks sponsors and owns an educational program called NetKnowledge.  We have approximately 120 participating institutions in NetKnowledge.  The program is designed to teach highschool studenta and community college students about networking principles and practices.  In our "Internetworking Fundamentals" course we have a section of exercises that requires the use of a sniffer.  Nortel Networks is interested in using Ethereal as the sniffer to be used within the lab exercises in this course.

I need to know from Ethereal what kind of legal agreement is required so that we can use and reference Ethereal within our courseware.  If there is a form that needs to be filled out by Nortel's legal departement, I would be interested in obtaining a copy of the form.

If you could please return my e-mail with a reply as soon as possible, I would greatly appreciate it.   Thanks for your time and consideration.
