Hi,

I'm running WIN98, and I installed winpcap v2.1 Beta. I can see that
wpcap.dll exists
in \windows\system, and the installation generated no errors. I do note
that when I
go to Control Panel/Network I don't see any entries for the packet
capture driver,
such as I used to see in previous versions (e.g. 2.0.2). Is this normal
for 2.1?

When I fire up Ethereal 0.8.19, and select Capture/Start, it says
"Unable to load
WinPCap (wpcap.dll)". I've tried windump, but I don't know how to
specify my
network interfaces (i.e. how interface names map to Windows interfaces)
and I
think the default it is choosing is the wrong one for me (where's
ifconfig -a when
you need it :-). So I haven't been able to use it to verify my winpcap
installation yet.

I've checked the FAQ and documentation but no luck. Can somebody help
me
out?

-Bob
