I got the following, hopelessly vague, error message the other day on
a Win2000 box. (To be fair the message does not seem to be coming
from ethereal directly. At least when I greped the source I didn't
see it.)

ethereal.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows.
You will need to restart the program.
An error log is being created.

Details:
1) installed
http://www.ethereal.com/distribution/win32/ethereal-setup-0.8.19.exe
2) 2000 was a fresh install.
3) The same install works on a different 2000 machine with the same
2000 install (including the same service pack and updates).
4) The error occurs as soon as ethereal is started. Never even get
the ethereal screen.
Has anyone seen this error before? If so do you know a solution?
Any idea where this error log was created? I looked in the user home
directory and the ethereal install directory.
