Ethereal-users: [Ethereal-users] only interested in tethereal ... possible ?

I am interested in running tethereal on my laptop. I have no interest
whatsoever in installing X, X related components, or anything to do with X.

Further, the very minimal installation of freeBSD that I do have ensures that if I end up installing any portion of X, it will be a lengthy ordeal that probably won't even work (tried a few times now).

So, since I only want to use ethereal on my freeBSD 4.3-RELEASE machine, is there a simple way for me to compile from source to get it?

Further, is there some collection of dependencies involved that would make it impossible to run tethereal without any X components on my machine ?

Finally, is there an existing tethereal binary for freeBSD just sitting somewhere I can go grab and be done with it ?

Any comments appreciated.

thanks.
