This would seem to be the case, no matter which platform is being used.
 I'm a little dejected that someone on the dev side of things hasn't posted
a reply yet. Not that they have answers, but have heard our cries for help.
Then again, it is the vacation season and everyone needs time away from
geekness.
Peace

Subject: [Ethereal-users] Ethereal 0.8.18 question...

Hi everybody!

I'm using ethreal 0.8.18 on a Red Hat 7.1 system with a libpcap 0.4-39;
well, I can grep only packets to/ from the machine I'm on and
broadcasts; the NIC is a D-link 500TX ; I'm connected to a 10M hub. Even
a tcpdump from the console doesn't give me better results. Ok, it has to
be the "promiscous" stuff but how do I figure? Any hint would be
appreciated because I have no idea where to start from!

Oh, BTW it's a 2.4.4...
