I'm using ethereal on a  system Win95b (sorry). Up to version 0.8.16
everything works fine. For version 0.8.17, I installed the WinPcap 2.1
library, but when I tried to run the new version, it fails because it
couldn't find the 'ws2_32.dll'.

Now I found following solution for the problem:

For systems win95 and ethereal 0.8.17, additional you have to install the
Windows Socket 2 Update, which contains the requested DLL. It can be
obtained under http://www.microsoft.com/windows95/downloads/

However, at the requirements for the win32 binary distribution you will not
find any hint as to do that.
