What is the definition of "Absolute time"? Does this mean
the computers Local time or, UTC time or, something else?

When I use Ethereal to perform a capture and set the Display
options to "time of day" or, "Date and time of day", the time
displayed by Ethereal is 7 hours behind my local time and
14 hours behind UTC time.

I live in Denver and have my computers clock set for GMT -7
MST/MDT. Ethereal shows the capture time for a packet that
was actually captured at 19:30 (3/12/01) local time as being
captured at 12:30 (3/12/01). This is nether the correct
local time nor is it the correct UTC time (UTC time would be
02:30 3/13/01). So, what time is it?

I am using the following software kits on Win98 and Win95
(I haven't tried the Linux install yet).
   ethereal-0.8.16-capture.zip
   Packet95.exe
   gtk-libs-20001226.zip

Do I not understand the "time of day" option correctly or,
is this a Windows glitch or, something else?

Thank you,
