There were some bugs in the code to handle the "OK" button in the
"Filters" dialog box.  As a workaround, instead of selecting a filter
and clicking "OK", cut-and-paste the text of the filter expression from
the "Filter string" text entry in the "Filters" dialog box to the
"Filter" text entry in the "Capture Preferences" dialog box...

...or just type the filter directly into the "Filter" text entry in the
"Capture Preferences" dialog box; there is no requirement that all
filters used when capturing be stored in the list of filters, you can
just type "dns" directly into the "Filter:" field in the "Capture
Preferences" dialog box.

The bug should be fixed in the next release; there is currently no
schedule for that release, but I suspect it'll probably come out some
time this month.
