Ethereal-users: [Ethereal-users] Segfault in 0.8.12 / 0.8.14

Since upgrading to Mandrake 7.2 along with Helix Gnome / Sawfish, I've been
unable to use Ethereal. The default font is not installed so I see a bunch of
blocks instead of data. When I try to open the preferences dialog, Ethereal
segfaults. 

Not sure if this helps, but I did a trace with gbd to see if it told me
anything (not even sure if this is the right tool). This looks promising:
