Although the documentation advertises that you can get the "actual date
and time a packet was captured" by using the -ta option in tethereal
while examining a capture file, in reality it gives only
hh:mm:ss:millisec.

There is no analogue in Ethereal.  There is an absolute time field you
can select, but the format is no different.  Having the date is useful
if the network traffic you're examining spans midnight or several days,
although there are workarounds for that.  Can I vote to make displaying
the date an option?  Or is there a way to do it I'm not aware of?
