Hi all,

I downloaded, built, and installed ethereal 0.8.11 in order to run
packet capture on Linux ATM interfaces. When I run ethereal, from the
capture dialogue box, I can select any of my active ATM interfaces
(atm0, atm1, etc) from the interfaces pull down menu. After I select
one and press start, I get the message:

"Network you're trying to capture from is of a type that Ethereal
doesn't support"

and does not capture for that interface. Now when I build this version,
I built it on a Linux box that did not have the ATM interface and copied
it over. Would that make a difference? listed below are the version
specifics.

SuSE - 6.1
Kernel - 2.3.2
Linux ATM ARP - 0.51

Ethereal - 0.8.11
GTK+ - 1.2.8
libpcap - 0.4a6
libz - 1.1.3
UCD SNMP - 4.1.2

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Carl
