My ucd-snmp (4.1.1) is compiled with SSL support.
To get Ethereal 0.8.9 to compile I had to add

-lsnmp -L/usr/local/ssl/lib -lcrypto -lssl -lkstat

to the link options. Why wasn't this detected by autoconf?
