Hi,
 
I m trying to build Ethereal over win-xp. Due to linceing problem i m not going for visual studio, rather using vc++ service pack 3. (vc++ version 6).
 
Here is the prolem i m facing :
 
1. whel i run cl.exe (provided by vc++) it gives an error "This application has failed to start because mspdb60.dll was not found.
 
2. According to development document vc++ utilities (nmake, cl, link) should be in c:\program files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VC98\Bin  folder rather vc++ is in c:\App2_32\Microsoft Visual Studio in my system.
I m trying to install vc++ in c:\program folder but it don't ask for any path rather it immediately starts installation & completes it. (Remind you i m not using Visual Studio) rather 30 days version of VC++ service pack 3.
 
Kindly give me any solution if anyone has faced such problems.
