Hi List,

How feasable would be to:

* add "--xxx yyy" options to the command line options of ethereal.
* add an xxx key to a hash containing a GPtrArray with every instance
of "--xxx yyy" appeared in the command line?

I think in - - because the latin alphabet looks to small for ethereal
needs, something like kanji would certainly fit best :-)

That would allow to pass data to modules much before preferences are
loaded. I have been thinking in a user-friendly way to pass the script
name to the lua plugin (currently it is either the hardcoded
~/.ethereal/init.lua or what's in the environment variable)

Please don't tell me to use a preferences module as every other
protocol does because I simply cannot. If the script has to register
preference modules as I like it to, the script has to run before
preferences are evaluated.

Thanks,

Luis.
