Ok...

I fixed the ethereal-tap-register.c problem.
Sure enough, it was my Borland grep.exe.

I've got another problem though. the next failure is

I looked in my C:\Ethereal\gtk directory and sure enough, they are not
there.
Question is... why?

I originally tried to execute
nmake -f makefile.nmake setup,
but this failed ...

So I manually installed all the projects.
