(I did see the reference to dissect_dns_tcp_pdu in README.developer, but I wasn't sure if it would handle multiple PDUs, or only fragmented ones. So I wrote that message while waiting for Ethereal to compile.) I have written a complete dissector for the PostgreSQL v3 protocol. The existing packet-postgresql.c was woefully inadequate for debugging, in that it merely extracted likely-looking strings from messages, without describing the messages themselves. I've attached packet-pgsql.c. (Any chance this could be distributed with Ethereal?) Questions, comments, and suggestions are welcome. -- ams
