I’m currently running on a very tight schedule and was using ethereal to help with the dev of our product which amongst other things deals with the h248 protocol.

 

The problem is we have a capture file which we have by hand checked and double checked that the packets conform to RFC3015, however Ethereal picks up most of them as being either malformed or as unable to parse past certain points (usually it says “can’t understand errorDescriptor / transactionList = C=, can’t parse it pos 61”)

 

It goes without saying that I’m currently trying to trace into this issue myself, but I’m sure I’m not the only one to have come across this. It still exists in v0.10.8.

 

Has anyone out there seen/fixed/patched/worked around this problem and can help me out ?
