Hi!

The wiretap/ascend-scanner.c file should be generated through the "Makefile.nmake" process.

The unistd.h file is used in unix environments, and should not be required for the win32 generation.

You may simply try to rename (or delete) the file wiretap/ascend-scanner.c, so it will be regenerated correctly the next time.

You might have used the ./autogen.sh ./configure make sequence on win32, as this will try to generate Ethereal using cygwins gcc, which is currently a tricky task at this time.


To generate Ethereal on win32, the command:

nmake -f makefile.nmake setup

is recommended (in the Ethereal base dir).
